If it hit and wiped out part of the earth I imagine that might cause some chaos, huh?

That would depend on the size of the object hitting the earth. Could wipe out our atmosphere and render earth as just another satellite around the sun. Spinning off axis and out of orbit would be a slower death, so if it's me... I'd rather be at ground zero when it hits the earth. Naked of course.
