Alot of my friends on FB are talking aobut how media does not pick up on attacks in other parts of the world, and they are right. I think it has to do with the fact that it seems common in some places and not common in a place like Paris, a place where several go to for vacations.
I want to look up the history of violence or the statistics in Paris and not sure the best place to do so....any suggestions?
There is a decent news article in the New York times.
Sorry if this has already been discussed.

To be a feminist is simply to believe that everybody should be treated equally, regardless of sex. It means you think that there should be equality of the sexes economically, socially, politically and personally. When you put it like that, it’s surely difficult for anybody to deny being a feminist. But for such a simple concept, it is often dramatically misunderstood.
