I got the head off today after a leakage test and #1-3 cylinders were sucking in antifreeze. At least its off and ready in the machinist shop for resurfacing on Monday. No warpage as it never overheated and should be back together by Tuesday night or wed. I really need to get a real oil furnace out in my shop because in this zero weather it takes forever to warm up with just a woodstove. I know a 307 is a low HP type engine but they will withstand tons of torment and go forever. And I don't feel like messing with the match up conversion to a 400 transmission at all with a 350 or 383 stoker right now. I wish I had the money and time to turn a 350 into one but I can dream.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.
