Unfortunately that's the tenor of politics now. After the Republicans spent all that money and time trying to excoriate Clinton for a blowjob then everything was fair game. It is fun watching anyone claiming moral superiority take a big fall, but mostly the entire process is a tawdry peep show.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.
