Friday the 13th - 2009

I am a big fan of the original Friday the 13^th franchise so I will definitely be seeing it at some point.

I personally thought the recent remakes of Texas Chainsaw massacre and Halloween were a bit disappointing. I think the original chainsaw massacre was a horror masterpiece and the Rob Zombie remake of Halloween was virtually identical shot for shot to the original which I think made it virtually pointless.

I agree about the zombie remake of Halloween. not really sure what the point of that was. the original was a great flick, so why remake it at all if you are not going to make it new and fresh.

This was a good recent version of the classic. And obviously it leaves the door open for more, and considering how big this opening weekend will be I imagine we will see more in this new/old franchise
