Man, Tiger was passed out behind the wheel on the side of the road with the car running, his brake lights illuminated, and his right blinker on. Reports say he was slurring and kind of incoherent, but cooperative.
He's since issued a full public apology to his family, friends and fans and says he didn't realize how strong the mix of his prescription drugs could be. He obviously doesn't owe me an apology, but I think it's good he's taking full responsibility on this one.
Not sure I'm buying the ignorance defense though. He's had four back surgeries in three years. I won't be surprised if it turns out he's developed an addiction to pain pills, like millions of other people.
Anyway, I'm glad he didn't hurt himself or anyone else. And, he absolutely does not deserve a pass, in my opinion. This is terrible for him right now, but might be the wake up call that prevents something worse from happening in the future.
