It took the Florida jury less than 15 minutes to deliberate and deliver a guilty verdict against Donald Smith.
The jury will now hear evidence in the trial's penalty phase as it decides whether to sentence him to death. He was convicted of first-degree murder, kidnapping and sexual battery on a child less than 12 years of age.
