I took a drive tonight while the sun was setting.
I was reminded that I needed to find a certain building
so I drove down a road and took a right
I saw that the place to the right was private entrance and had barrier arms down, except for the exit, so I went to turn around
as I was turning around I saw these people standing in the grass-as if they were waiting for something?
I went in to my turn, and something made me want to look at these people again-
at first glance I thought they were just getting out of the water, or going to the water and had towels and water toys-like flotation devices,
one of them had the whitest face every, and something looked really odd about it.
THEN
I realized they were lifesize statues. Life size statues standing in the grass, and they were not white at all, but Native Americans-or should I just say, "Statues of Natives" or "first settlers" (Or people we stole the land from). Anyway,
so as I discovered what they were I continued my turn and said outloud, "Man those are some creepy looking statues" from where I was-it was creeepy looking as the sun was setting and looking so life like, but not moving-it is unexpected that there are statues there.
So then I turn my eyes to the small ticket building that is in the middle of the 2 roads-one leading in, one leading out-with the arm up on the exit only.
There is a person inside the ticket booth. This person has on a blue button up shirt and a hat.
I finish my turn, and veer off to the side of the road so perhaps I can park and walk over to the ticket booth to ask some questions.
That person isn't moving either.
It is getting darker.
The ticket booth has no lights on
There is no movement gong on
This person doesn't acknoweledge me at all.
"How rude" I think.
"Just because this is the entrance to some sort of resort, doesn't mean you have to ignore me" adding to my previous thought.
Then I drive out, realizing that it isn't the place I was lookng for anyway.
On my way out I see the field to the left that I had passed previously
Only it isn't a field
It is a graveyard.
