Again, you mean?
I guess you don't remember, but it wasn't that long ago that the Tea Party and others on 'the right' exercised their freedom of speech/expression rights to protest during Obama's campaign, after his election, in opposition to Obamacare, etc.
I disagree that exercising one's freedom of speech in public protest is 'childlike', but that's a matter of opinion. What's a matter of fact is that protests have been undertaken by people of all political affiliations in this country (and other democracies) since our nation's foundation Mags.
There really is a difference between peaceful protest and violent smashing businesses protest. The Tea party protest were clean and when it was done trash was not strewn everywhere. They didn't stop traffic, climb bridges, chain themselves to barricades, shit on police cars, camp in public parks and desecrate anything that was not theirs.
Do you really not see the difference? Should they have done what the occupy movement did? That's not "childlike"? Really? I would have no problem whatsoever with protest's that do not encumber any one else's civil rights. But when a group stops traffic, blocks highway's from people just trying to get to work that's when it becomes Marxist. Did the Tea Party do any of that?
Think now.
