I heard a couple of weeks ago that most of the fires were caused by arson. But, yesterday I read that's very misleading -- while human activity is a factor in many of them (as is the case everywhere), only about 10% were caused deliberately.
10% is still too high; way less disturbing than the previous narrative though.
