and did you see that there are some species they suspect have been totally wiped out on Kangaroo Island, including a rare spider?
Were you in Sydney when all of this went down at it's worst?
Most of the time it was fine in here in Tasmania, but one day it was smokey but not as bad as Canberra etc.
I ended up donating for the koalas and that money will be used to help. It's only a small amount but it all adds up and we should all do something. I think those that are caring for the koalas and saving their lives are the best people on Earth.
I would be very interested to hear your experience and if it affected your Christmas.
nah, I was in the Hunter, Loosey Loo... the closest I got was the gospers mountain fire that came through the putty road, but it was still a long way away.
My daughter was evacuated from the south coast and we all (all three of my kids) ended up at my brothers on the central coast for Christmas with his family. I’ve been sponging off for a couple of months until I get the keys to my new place.
A new ‘aquaintance’ of mine works for the department of environment, science and energy... she’s a wildlife warrior. She was in tears for weeks. It’s very sad
