this thread makes me feel regretful...i love my country, America, and i love England too! the beautiful green countryside, the history, the literature. masterpiece theater and Shakespeare and Dickens and Jane Austen. i lived there a couple years, reveled in castles and morbid reminders of Henry Vlll, the Tower, Elizabeth I, and Mary, Queen of Scots.
loved "Braveheart" for all its historical inaccuracies. the English were vicious brutes! but what a history! some damn good reading.
anyway, i am an American nonetheless, my Dad came over here from Italy and was an amazing patriotic American who received the distinguished civilian service award from the pentagon. he instilled a great appreciation for America into me and my siblings.
