Bikers and GIs, a (possibly) stupid question

OP if I remember my 'bike history' correctly, the Japanese didn't get into the motorcycle market until the late 1950's in America. They brought over scooters and started the "anyone can ride a motorcycle" mania.

I don't know if they made and sold full sized motorcycles in other countries but it wasn't until the lat '50's and early '60's that Japanese bikes became available here on a large scale.

There were many different brands of Ameircan iron back then too.

Yeah, the assassination of a president will do that.

The assassination of a GOOD president will do that....

If GW had been assassinated, I picture more a scene of parties in the streets.
(then again, nix that... gawd forbid if Cheney had been president)
