"The fear" doesn't just relate to a feeling you have acted inappropriately while drunk, it is the ANXIOUS feeling the morning after drinking alcohol regardless of the amount.

It's obvious from your description of The Fear that it is a term used when someone has anxious feelings after gettingdrunk the night before and acting like an ass. Now you're trying to turn it around and say that it's simply a termfor anxietytriggered by any amount ofalcohol. Yeah I'm sure that's real commonin the UK, just as common as this scenario happening after drinking one swig of beer...
