I for one am happy that Brazil got the nod. We've hosted quite a few Olympics and I think Brazil deserves one.
Obama is a president of "firsts" so he should be happy they get to be the first South American city and country to host the games.
I also would like to know where this great peace accomplishment he did is that warranted him getting the Nobel Peace Prize?
Deadline for nomination was in February and he was nominated for his accomplishments in Peace 12 days after he was sworn in. Hardly enough time to get anything accomplished! I guess he got that 'prize' on the "hope" of what his future efforts in peace brings? So many others were deserving of this and he got it on "hope" and "what may come in the future".
Maybe they should have waited to see what he actually accomplishes? After all, he does have 3 more years to do something.
