Ratings, ratings, ratings.  Superficial insecurity and obsession, even at this critical time.

Anyway, it's not just Trump's critics who wish he'd stop the bullshit (for the sake of the public good).  But also some of his supporters (for the sake of his re-election and the Republican party).

The Wall Street Journal editorial staff, Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham...........all have advised Trump to exit stage left and let the medical experts and/or Pence run the coronavirus press briefings.  https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/04/...-briefings
