On twitter and facebook, a photo of a Philly cop holding a small child was posted with this comment by the local police union:

“This child was lost during the violent riots in Philadelphia, wandering around barefoot in an area that was experiencing complete lawlessness. The only thing this Philadelphia police officer cared about in that moment was protecting this child.”

But they neglected to mention that the family's SUV had been surrounded by cops, bashing all the windows in with their batons, while the parents were pulled from the vehicle and the father beaten as well. The hero cop saving the "lost child" had pulled the kid from the back seat while his parents were being attacked.
