The Pandemic let Governors change the voting parameters without legislative approval as what is supposed to happen. The rules were changed under the guise of "emergency" power. Supposedly good for 90 days when they would run out unless the legislature voted and agreed to it.
The ability to vote was loosened by that and made it easy for anyone to vote. Not just registered voters. The Democrats will try it again no doubt. But doing the audits did something, it made many think about how secure the elections really are. And that is still an accomplishment.
