Funeral homes are offering coffins which can be fitted with a removable liner so the casket can be used again.

"If we can rent items for other events such as marriages, then why not death".

Is this something you would consider for yourself or loved one?

No. I think I want to be cremated and buried in the ground like my Mom and Dad with a simple grave marker.

Can’t come to terms with final plans.
Can cremation hurt, no one knows for sure.
If cremated, would consider an urn that could be kept in a place for viewing at will.
Is cremation against catholic religion, need to talk to a priest to find out. Says chronic procrastinator!
If cremated, definitely would consider rented casket.
Decisions, decisions.  hah

I don't think cremation is against the Catholic religion. As the Bible says...."Ashes to ashes, dust to dust."

My mom's soul was in Heaven days before they cremated her anyway. My brother Ed and I recited the Divine Mercy prayer at the hospital and at the end of it she outstretched her arms as if to say, "Take me home, Lord. I am ready." About an hour later while we were food shopping we got the call that she had died.
