A failure of American leadership?

Thanks! I read it. I'm still confused, or maybe that's not the right word. I still don't understand. When his country looks good, HE looks good. He has more money than he can ever spend, there's no doubt he has a great deal of power as well. I've read gossip that he has few close associates, if true, that doesn't seem good either. He has people killed who push back and/or disagrees with him. He could potentially have had the respect of the world, but makes the choice not to do anything that could have given him that. It's just seems senseless to me.
