When the kids were young,  we had a tradition of cooking breakfast taquitos on Christmas morning.    It was the only day of the year that they got breakfast taquitos  (and only because they were easy to cook while the kids were ripping through their presents)

This reminded me of a polish Christmas.   Polish tradition  (and one that I remember as a child) is to celebrate the birth of christ by having a 12 hour food festival on Christmas eve.
