No, and most of the people who got stuck last night didn't either.
The truth is, we get 'severe' winter weather every so often, but it's rare enough for 2' of snow to be 'a big deal', so most people around here don't bother. It's true though, that I SHOULD pack an emergency kit for the car, because obviously it DOES happen, and things can happen even without severe weather.
You're right. I'm going to make myself a note to do that. It's just naive to NOT do it, really.
