I think eventually it will be 1 shot a year. Covid is a novel virus and it kept mutating because there are so many unvaccinated people.
Generally speaking, I wouldn't want people to be vaccinated against their will. I think that's wrong, but having said that, if people are in positions where they are dealing with the public it should be required, if one doesn't want the jab it is their right to decline it, but don't cry the blues if you lose your job when you decline to do so.
I only took the first Covid shot to keep my job. If required I'd take a booster to keep it. I'm not crazy enough to lose my job over a a shot. If it kills me, no regrets, I've had a fairly good life.
