What's funny is Friedman's detractors conveniently forget he was absolutely opposed to private-prisons and was for the legalization of drugs . . . and believed it was the duty of the consumer and shareholder to advance social causes.

Wow!  Who knew?  

Partisans -- left and right -- know nothing at all about socio-economic theory, which makes voting an enterprise that invariably results in being hoist by one's own "petard".

The ancient Greeks devised a way to address political corruption, which worked worked very well for the brief period in which it was implemented; unfortunately, partisans know less than nothing about Greek history.
