I like you Sally and would be proud to call you a friend. The problem you have is that you are authentic, that whatever bull is around, injustice, lies etc, you would call it out. If there is a problem you will want to get it sorted asap, and if you cant you would get frustrated. If i was in trouble and we were mates, id go to you, there will be no 45 minute spiel about what to do, youd cut to the chase.
Your bright and got that english attitude that the British had in the 18th century. I dont have many friends, there is a life long friend, we used to play football together, he is the same now as when we were 18, and to be honest, is an asshole, he hasnt developed at all. I have two friends in Stratford upon avon, we go there or they come here, walking football and poker acquantancies thats it, and talk to old work mates on the phone sometimes. Theres people i say hello too, and to be honest, i couldnt cope with more, i love my alone time.
There is the Stratford Royal Shakespeare company, if your ever in England i can reccommend it, if your into Shakespeare.
The bad news is that non authentic people will hate you, you wont let them get away with owt, and they will know it. The mistake youve made is to turn your uniqueness in on your self, you are not a dick, in fact you are the opposite, unfortunately non authentic people are in the majority. The problem i have with people is that generally they are on the take, i feel exhausted after being with them.
If i start to talk about things that is not about them, the conversation drys up. If we were mates im sure we would hit it off, it would be fast paced and stimulating. You have the same problem i have, i suppose we all do, meeting the right people. Dont blame yourself.
