Actually hours before the insurrection, Donald (still POTUS at the time) was on tv
Urging (inviting) his cult to do just what he asked them to do. Revolt.
He incited the (deadly) melee that ensued, and was responsible for it.
Remember the riots of 1968? Were those insurrections? Were the assassinations of JFK, RFK, and MLK isolated events?
It's astonishing how quickly people forget recent history and get lulled into thinking that politics aren't inherently violent.
Watch some footage of those riots and then compare that to what happened on January 6. All of a sudden it doesn't look quite the same; in fact, it doesn't look at all the same. It's like night and day, as far as riots go.
