You know you’re old when you go out to the mailbox as soon as the mailman comes. Like they’re just looking out the window waiting on him. I don’t do that yet, sometimes I don’t check it for days, but that’s what my elderly neighbors do. I don’t know what the hell kind of mail they get that’s so great, but it’s probably not a check for a million dollars.

You have purpose in your life, things to do & places to go. I think many seniors don't have that and checking their mail might be the only time they have reason to go outdoors or even get up out of their chair.
