Seems like everything has become increasingly militant, and I don't identify with any of the groups involved. No rationality to be found anywhere except in isolated pockets.

There was a halloween event today. The kids got dressed up and it started at the boat dock and went up valley. They all rode in the back of a hay truck and went trick or treating at various locations. Also smores and bobbing for apples at the orchard. A pretty creative fun event.

What I found interesting were the little boys dressed up in army fatigues w/ guns. I don't know how to describe thier outfits really, but I know that in any public schools they would not be allowed to carry weapons and I just wonder how safe thier outfits would be in any city or urban place-do kids run around w/ guns on halloween?
