I adopted a nursing home resident today.  Our county nursing home was requesting sponsors for residents who didn't have any family for Christmas.   I usually adopt a family through the salvation Army, but I've gotten salty about giving to that over the last couple of years. They ask for expensive electronics.  The resident I adopted wants colored pencils, an adult coloring book, orange soda, and scratch tickets.

I like that idea. I will look into it. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do (but I wait and don’t get it done timely).
