I've used more salt and butter in the last few years than I ever used to. I used to avoid putting salt in anything-including baking, but now I use it as the recipe calls for it. Sometimes I substitute applesauce for butter in cookies and muffins.
I love seafood. Can't eat tofu because of the soy. I grew up meat and potatoes also, but with a mix since my father was in the military and was stationed in Japan. We also grew up eating stir fry and fried rice which I love.
I am trying to get all of my debt paid off. I'm not making much extra $ where I live. I have to start asking myself if the "experience of living in the wilderness" is worth the financial drain.
