There’s a transgender member in the senate on a committee and the chairperson of the committee kept referring to her as him (or “the gentleman from…whatever state). Another committee member protested that (the woman has been subject to this before and has remained largely silent; she doesn’t want the attention).  Anyway they adjourned the meeting after 3 minutes.

I think that’s just fucking twisted. The Chairman justified it by saying that Trump has pronounced there are only two sexes in the U.S. but in every way possible SHE looks like a SHE whatever her gender was at birth. Idiocy.

Religious zealotry breeds a lot of things worse than idiocy.

There’s religion in politics?!?!    True. 

My husband is a staunch atheist. He gets all twisted up on that subject. As do I but he can’t find anything positive to say about Christianity at least and I don’t think all Christians are zealots or hypocrites as he sometimes projects.
