I'd stand with liberal Christians if they stood up against the corporate lawyers in the Democratic Party. 

I will never forget the day I went over to the pastor's house, I was going to take their dog for a walk and the pastor's wife was there and was telling me how proud she was of her daughter who had just got arrested at a protest, or sit in at the capital. I don't recall the details or what they were protesting that day but she was so proud of her as she took had been arrested in protest in her life.

She sends out a weekly action list of political topics to call our representatives about. It includes protest locations, rallies and information on contacting representatives and requesting town halls.

I'll write to her and ask about the corporate lawyers.

The people in the little mountain town I lived in prior to here are the same way. They may be remote-but they aren't removed from what is going on in the world and were always ahead of the times  with introducing new concepts to the communities.
