When my dad got a terminal diagnosis 18 years or so ago, he wrote a brief email to his distant family/friends that said “I have a terminal diagnosis, no reasonable treatment options. No condolences, please. I’ve had a good roll”. And he passed at home around 40 days later. I know my mom’s time is coming; just hope it’s as peaceful as can be for her. She doesn’t want to be in a hospital.
