The animals had been euthanized by the PETA employees immediately after taking them from shelters in Northampton and Bertie counties.[66] The group said it began euthanizing animals in some rural North Carolina shelters after it found the shelters were killing animals in ways PETA considered inhumane.[67] Police charged the two employees with 31 felony counts of animal cruelty and eight misdemeanor counts of illegal disposal of dead animals.[68] They were acquitted of all charges by April 2008.[69]
I'm not sure where any of that is hypocritical, though I don't know why they wouldn't just burn the bodies instead of dumping them, if it's even true (note: they were acquitted)

Seriously... you think it's 'hypocritical' to take a medication that a person needs to survive, simply because it has some animal by-products in it? If she were using a product that was not NECESSARY for her survival, I could see your point. I'M a hypocrite because I believe that factory farming is evil, yet I support it. Using insulin because otherwise you will die is not hypocritical.

I know of a lot of false claims against the organization, tons of dirt throwing by people who oppose them... I don't know of any really VALID reasons that PeTA is a 'bad' organization.

However, if if that were true, how would it be morally wrong to blow up a lab with live animals in it, considering that all of those animals are being horribly tortured and probably wouldn't survive a rescue attempt anyway? Especially if it costs the company doing the torture a lot of money and 'punishes' them for being barbaric?

I don't use products (cleaning solutions, soap, makeup, etc) that have been tested on animals. Well, I do sometimes... if I get it for free, but I won't buy it.
Medicine? There's no reason not to use medicine which has been tested on animals, but every reason in the world to support the idea of STOPPING live animal testing and moving to other available, often more reliable ways of testing products and medicines.
