JOGGER MURDERS: KARINA VETRANO & VANESSA MARCOTTE

I feel badly for her parents, particularly her father who found her body. They've been through so much  :(

It's very strange that the judge declared a mistrial so quickly.  Normally, the judge would order the jury to keep deliberating after only 13 hours.

One of the jurors was interviewed and said several jurors wanted to keep deliberating and didn't understand why the jury foreperson sent the judge a note saying they were deadlocked so quickly and why the judge halted deliberations so easily.

Attorneys have also expressed surprise by the judge's actions.

There's speculation that Queens Supreme Court Justice Michael Aloise was in a hurry to start his Thanksgiving weekend, so he rushed to a mistrial.  I hope that's not true; that's not justice nor is it remotely professional.
