Well, the economic and job growth performance was on a positive track for a few years before Trump was elected and that trend has continued under his administration. I give him credit for that.
The April economic/jobs report was released today. The number of new jobs created was higher than projected and the unemployment rate is the lowest in 50 years. Good stuff.
I'm hearing some commentators who aren't Trump cheerleaders saying that the reduction in the unemployment rate isn't really all that positive because the number of people seeking jobs is lower than in the past.
However, I likewise remember all the anti-Obama commentators who refused to give him any credit for getting the country out of the recession and decreasing the unemployment rate -- most of those critics claimed that the same government source which has always compiled the reports (then and now) was way off base in its calculations.
