On a related note, it was good to hear governors Cuomo, Newsome, DeWine and others indicating that they are developing detailed gradual re-opening plans that rely on scientific and medical data, and that they're working together on a regional basis.
They won't be re-opening until they have the necessary tests and contact tracing protocols in place to prevent a predictable re-surge in infections once current Covid-19 restrictions start to be lifted.
Since the federal government still hasn't come through with the volume and types of tests that President Trump promised, I heard Cuomo say today that NY is procuring its own. I think it's likely that other states will follow suit and work together to minimize competition with each other and with the federal government (to avoid the same type of snafu that's going down with PPE and equipment).
