Earlier this week, it was revealed that recently-ousted Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe (right) had authorized an investigation into whether Attorney General Jeff Sessions (his boss, center) had lied to investigators about interactions with Russian operatives prior to Sessions recusing himself from the Justice Department's Russia investigation.

Sessions was reportedly unaware that he was under internal investigation which began before special counsel Mueller was appointed..
