In a statement on Sunday, a spokesman for Trump’s legal team said both diGenova and his wife, Victoria Toensing, who is also a lawyer, would not be representing the President on the Russia probe after all.
The statement indicated that the change of plan is due to the fact that diGenova and Toensing's clients include people connected to the Russia investigation (conflicts of interest).
Another (unnamed source) claims that while Trump loved diGenova on FOX, he didn't gel with diGenova in-person and that also played a part in rescinding the offer.
