You know what? I think you've all lost sight of what Mocking is about... What is the difference between 'alledgedly' (I say alledgedly because I don't believe OP was mocking Mill's wife or her illness directly) someone's wife who has cancer, versus someone's wife who doesn't? The only differentiation is the cancer. You're both at the same level I'm afraid...
Mill' we don't know each other and I imagine we don't agree on much or have much in common, apart from the fact of a wife who is/has fought a very cruel disease. I understand the need to have time away from it, and I refuse to judge anyone for their actions when they are a partner of someone suffering what a lot of the time can be a terminal disease. The emotional burden can be overwhelming to say the least and to continue to be able to provide the best care for their partner, the person also needs some respite to gain the strength to fight some more. I don't feel sorry for you, or your wife; I hate the term. I imagine the last thing you want is pity, I didn't. I do however wish you and your wife the strength to get through, whatever the outcome is.
I think you both need to start attacking the man again, not the ball...
