I wasn't really aware that Australia had its own share of fascist right wing nutters until I found the comments this bitch made on social media today.

Gina Rinehart? I'd never heard of her until I saw her on the BBC news website today. Daughter of an oil tycoon apparently, she said today that any couple earning less than 100,000 aussie dollars a year should be sterilized while at the same time stating any couple earning over 100,000 dollars should as many as 10 or 12 children!

She also said that Australians should be willing to work for lower wages because some Africans are willing to work for 2 dollars a day.

Your can almost see the milk of human kindness flowing from her fat mouth.

Daughter of an iron ore baron, actually, not that it matters a lot in relation to her comments. Yes, she did inherit her start in the business world, but she was always part of that business. She has successfully, through a lot of strategic acquisition and cunning, multiplied it to become the richest woman in the world.

She is a greedy bitch. Her paranoia over her wealth has torn her family apart, for anyone who would actually care to read through it all. She doesn't comment to the media a hell of a lot, and as this example shows, there's probably a good reason for that. At one stage she tried to buy controlling shares in media assets (print and TV) in a bid to govern how the media portrayed her.

As is is everything media related these days though, the truth probably lies halfway in between. everybody likes to cut a tall poppy....

She is only saying what most people think about welfare suckers; they should stop having fucking kids they can't already support. I dont believe that applies to everyone with a combined income under $100k, that is just bullshit; if you earn any wage and pay your tax you are an upstanding citizen in my book.

But labour costs in Australia are ridiculous and general manufacturing has borne the brunt of it. We are now an import, throw away society. Companies are taking investment dollars elsewhere rather than deal with the unionised labour and approvals process red tape. Australia will be on its knees if these things aren't addressed.

She has probably made it more alarmist than it needed to be, or the media did it to put her in a bad light, but they are some real home truths.

Sounds like she's a much better business person than she is a public speaker, even if her words were exaggerated by the media.

I agree if you take a low paying job rather than sitting on your arse sucking the welfare teat than all power to you, go forth and multiply. The problem in the UK and doubtlessly in other countries is the more sprogs you have the more welfare you get so you have situations where a couple have 9 kids and if they got jobs they would actually be losing money compared to the benefits they get.

People like Rinehart just have no connection, empathy or understanding for the average working joe. She complains the current economic climate is affecting her business and blames the easiest target low earners for all her woes. Well if a billionaire like her is struggling how does she think working people are doing in the same economic climate? Prospering? I don't think so.

Her idea about sterilizing lower earners is just fascist lunacy, I watched her youtube video and she does sound slightly unhinged, i half expected her to stand up at one point and start gesticulating wildly like uncle Adolf at the Nuremberg rallies.
