Donald Trump is creating ill will worldwide. I fell asleep listening to CNN and one of his reps was talking about a trip Donald was going to be making but he couldn't discuss it further because of security reasons. They all lie and many things are taken out of context, and yes I do agree that Trump does not measure his words well. he really should have said we need a moratorium on the Muslim refuges coming in with a better vetting process but Trump will be Trump.
Hillary is more articulate with her lies I will give her that. Recently she said she never told the families that the Benghazi attacks were because of a video when the families exposed that lie. She did blame it on a video. They all lie though and that's my point.

I agree that most, if not all, politicians lie.
If other politicians start lying in order to propose stripping U.S. citizens of their birthright citizenship based on race, making up their own rules as to who is entitled to run for U.S President based on religion, and banning entry into the U.S. based on religion.......I'll consider those other politicians equally as ignorant and dangerous as Carson and Trump.

Yeah it shouldn't matter if they are Muslim or Christian. But they should all be scrutinized very closely. I don't believe that's done as well as it could be.

It looks like Rand Paul may be kicked down to the lower tier debate on Tuesday.
His poll numbers at present don't qualify him for the prime time stage. That could really hurt his struggling campaign; I wonder how much longer he'll be able to hang in there. As a Libertarian, he was predicted to grab the "outsider' vote for the GOP base early on. But, Trump is even further outside and is kicking his ass in the polls, as is Cruz. Too bad, like Graham, I think Paul has some different and worthwhile points to make that set him apart from most of the Republican candidates. Chris Christie and Rand Paul will participate in the prime time debate tomorrow night. Mike Huckabee didn't make the cut again and willl be part of the earlier lower tier debate.
CNN is hosting the debate again.

Unbelievable. Cruz has bumped him from the lead in Iowa though, which predictably resulted in Trump attacking Cruz for the first time last week. He was still saying how much he liked Cruz, but he lamented about how Cruz couldn't really understand evangelicals, his parents being Cuban and all. He hasn't publicly criticized Trump or hit back at him. I think Cruz expects that both Trump and Carson will fall by the wayside and he's positioning himself as the real evangelical conservative and outsider. Only he's not an outsider; he's been working the political machine for decades, he's just pissed off a lot of politicians in the process. But hey...

It was a better debate than the previous ones in terms of actually addressing the issues and letting the candidates go back and forth on differences of opinion.
There are some wide differences between the candidates when it comes to foreign policy, national security and immigration. Bush didn't seem to get as rattled by Trump this time out, but their "no you!" exchanges were still pretty funny.

I think he probably just doesn't want to risk getting on the wrong side of the evangelical voter base and the popular vote before the primaries and caucuses. Cruz and Carson always play nice with Trump publicly. I imagine they don't want to come across as juvenile (plus, they want to scoop up Trump's conservative supporters if/when he leaves the race). Several of the candidates were dog-piling Rubio last night, mostly on the issues rather than personal attacks though. |
