I do agree with him somewhat, just not the part about George Zimmerman acting in self-defense against a life-threatening attack by hoodlum, dope-smoking Trayvon Martin.
I was reading and nodding my head until he came up with that shit as well.

Are you kidding me? What is this, 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'? How brain-dead do you have to be? How strangled by denial, how dishonest, how cheap do you have to be to focus on a clear-cut case where all the evidence, from the DOJ, from the FBI, from the army of investigative specialists in Florida determined that George Zimmerman acted in self-defense against a life-threatening attack by hoodlum, dope-smoking Trayvon Martin?"
Nugent also said that he would pray for "Stevie Wonder and all these other numbnuts who think that Trayvon Martin's life is more important than the tens of thousands of slaughtered blacks at the hands of blacks."
So tell us how you really feel, Ted.
I've said it before.
It's not his death, necessarily, that pisses off the black community.
There are hundreds and hundreds of black people that die senselessly every year.
It's the fact he was 'incorrectly' (I still say that's up for debate) profiled by a White-Spic, stalked, and when T bumrushed his frumpy dumper, he received a cap in his ass for his troubles.
Frumpy then gets away scot-free WITH IT ALL!
That's why blacks HAVE to focus on this shit.

You've gotta be throwing out the bogus "bumrushed" contention on purpose at this point, after having been reminded so many times that George and Trayvon were face to face and exchanged words when the altercation began (no "jumped from behind" and no "bumrushed"); per George Zimmerman and confirmed by the prosecution ear witness.
Anyway, I understand what it is you believe the whole of the black population is thinking.

So, HotD, you think the over-the-top attention this case is getting is justified (proportionate to all the other young blacks that have been killed)?
If whites were out killing blacks once a week clainimg self-defense (and walking free), I'd understand. However, this seems like a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of event to me.
Anyway, I'm gonna go get my 'Free Aaron Hernandez' hat now.

I think freedom of speech, expression and peaceful public assembly are at least as important as the right to bear arms. I don't think it's a bad thing that those freedoms are being exercised, whether I agree with the sentiments being expressed or not.
I don't read minds, MS. I just read and listen to words. This is what I've heard from protesters, many of whom are not black. They are not all saying the same thing.
-Some protesters think that Zimmerman lied about everything and Trayvon was attempting to stand his ground when Zimmerman shot him. They believe that George grabbed or otherwise caused Trayvon to say "get off" (what the ear witness claims to have heard) and that's what started the altercation. They believe that Zimmerman got away with Murder 2 and want justice.
-Some protesters think that even if Trayvon initiated the physical confrontation (with a punch to the nose that caused Zimmerman to fall down backwards, per Zimmerman), Zimmerman's injuries don't support the claim that he had no other recourse than to shoot before the police would be shortly arriving. They believe that he used greater force than justified and was at least guilty of manslaughter.
-Some protesters think that some self defense laws are too broad and offer a license to kill; they don't think anyone should be able to follow or chase another person who's not in the commission of a crime, end up shooting them, and then claim self defense under any circumstances.
-Some protesters think that Zimmerman is a racist who profiled Trayvon and no matter what happened next, Zimmerman is responsible for Trayvon's death and should be behind bars; they want a civil rights violation suit brought against him.
My personal feelings haven't changed since I expressed them previously. I don't object to the verdict, nor do I object to the protests. I would like to see self defense laws, particularly SYG statutes, reviewed with the goal of minimizing opportunities for people to use unjustified force and legally shield themselves from appropriate repercussions. I think that's a prudent thing to do, whether it relates to the Zimmerman/Martin case or not.

It's truly confounding.
Would there be an uproar if it was a black neighborhood watchman that had killed Trayvon (and been acquitted)?
Or, if it had been a white kid with black neighborhood watch (quit laughing Tiki)? And the evidence was identical?
To me, it's only because Zim is perceived as white.

As I've acknowledged repeatedly, much of the protesting is due to perceived racism and claims of civil rights violations by Zimmerman against Martin.
I guess I can understand that you would feel proud in having figured out the obvious all by yourself and thus your need to keep repeating the same thing over and over and ignoring all else.
As for your "what ifs", if Zimmerman had been black, we likely wouldn't have heard about the case, imo. If the races had been reversed, I don't know if we would have heard about it or not. I'm really more interested in reality than "what ifs".
Along with perceived racism, there are other aspects of the verdict/case that are being protested. They interest me, obviously not you.
In any event, this won't change: I actually listen to the people who are protesting and what they're saying rather than relying on Midwest Spy's interpretation of what they're really thinking. So, I'm not gonna repeat myself anymore when you ask the same questions, hoping to get a different answer though the facts haven't changed. Wake up, punk.
And, given your mad mental prowess and insight, you calling me obtuse is a helluva burn, MS.

I'm well aware of all the stupid niggers playing the race card (and it is annoying), but it doesn't take away from the fact that the fat moron chased that poor kid down and shot him to death because he thought he was up to no good. Imagine if it was your teenage kid, he had every right to punch that stupid idiot.

I love Ted. I don't agree with half of what he said though.
Stevie should go back and revisit the lyrics to Ebony and Ivory. Pretty sure he's got the mindset of Ebony and Ebony, and ONLY Ebony.
I always hated that song. For no particular reason.

I'm not a fan of that song either but I prefer it to the sound of MS headbutting a piano keyboard which he is continuing to do in this thread much to HOTDs annoyance.

I work with dementia sufferers and I've worked with the mentally challenged in the past. So, I have a decent amount of exposure to people who keep repeating the same outdated information, using words incorrectly, and whose inability to process and interpret information makes it difficult for them to keep up with the rest.
Though I'm not aware of MS having any diagnosis which explains him constantly displaying these symptoms, I don't find it annoying, just unfortunate.
Patience and tolerance, which I've gained through experience, is key to avoiding high levels of annoyance when interfacing with "special" people like Midwest Spy.
Pity works too. I pity the fool.

I've never come across anyone with the complete inability to absorb new information when it comes to light like MS. He's so busy headbutting that keyboard he probably can't hear new info or he chooses not to one of the two.

Some protesters think that Zimmerman is a racist who profiled Trayvon . . . they want a civil rights violation suit brought against him.
In other words: "These people have contempt for the law, law enforcement, the judiciary and the justice system."
It ain't personal against Zim.

Some of the protesters are focused on such contempt, or at least dissatisfaction. Yes, that's what they're voicing. Others basically claim that they just want to see the laws reviewed and changed, as needed.
I have no way of knowing how many protesters have personal contempt for Zimmerman, vs. contempt for how he handled the situation (regardless of who he is or his race), vs. contempt for non-blacks as a whole, vs. contempt for...
Maybe, despite their words, every single one of them feels contempt for Zimmerman personally, Tiki. There is a sizable group freely expressing personal contempt for Zimmerman, so I don't know why anyone who felt that way would refrain.
I'll just continue to watch and listen with an interest in where it all goes. I have no interest in defending George Zimmerman against his detractors, nor joining those who wish him misery.
