Not much on military thrillers, but I did read The Hunt for Red October and Patriot Games many years ago and enjoyed them.

Tom Clancy died at the age of 66 yesterday in his hometown of Baltimore, after suffering from a brief illness.

His latest book, based on his desk-jockey CIA hero Jack Ryan, is set for release later this year. Directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Chris Pine, "Jack Ryan: Shadow One" is set for release in the U.S. on Christmas Day.

I watched Olympus Has Fallen the other night. Die Hard at the White House. Predictable but I enjoyed it anyway.

Pretty big plotholes in that one. We mocked the hell out of it when we watched it.
