I agree, the mom is a stupid bitch. Take the tickets away, punish the kid and be done with it. There was no point of making it public other than to gain attention for herself.
Now if the girls happened to be sitting in my living room while my daughter was being punished that would be different. My husband doesn't give a damn who is in the house when he gets mad, and he's very big and scary. Teenagers have been known to jump up and run out my door, probably pissing their pants on the way out.
