Ha! That's probably why there is a package store right next door to the supermarkets here. I've never thought of that before. All three of the markets in my little town have the package store right next to it.

I can go to any gas station, buy gas, get a powerball, buy a bottle of wine. (some sell the local wines) any day of the week. I can buy a 6 pack of Bud for 3.99 or a good bottle of wine for 10.00. I just filled my gas tank today the gas was 2.99 a gallon.
Maybe if they sold weed it would be cheaper. But what really pisses me off is all the dickheads in the Capitol have their fingers in the lottery bag. That shit was supposed to fund education, the bastards!

I get a kick out of "package stores" in Mass. You cannot buy beer or wine at a gas station or corner market. Is that the way it is there?
I don't think they sell wine at the gas station, but I think you can buy beer. It can't be sold cold though, they have to sell it warm.
MS...Im 12 miles from the Ohio line. They get a lot of business from us on Sunday.
The bars are open here on Sunday if they serve food. I've been bartending part time on Sundays for the last 3 months at a bar a good friend of mine owns.

I thought part of the benefit of legalizing it was the tax income that would be generated for the state?
It's true that one motivation for legalizing recreational marijuana is tax revenue.
I hate taxes though; the more tax revenue, the more government finds a reason to spend.
True but there's sales tax on everything else, why not pot? Plus, it could actually become an industry; pot farms (i.e., laborers, distributors)...might help raise job numbers. Imagine the lines of people lining up to work in a pot processing plant! I'd start a drive up pot, Doritos, candy and sodas (or beer) franchise. I'd be rich! I'd sell the pre-rolled joints for more money, carry all sorts of paraphernalia...just think.

Utah is the worst. Crazy Mormons make getting booze a real pain in the ass.
Cold beer and wine can be purchased just about anywhere in California (anytime).

We had a blue law here up until a few years ago but it wasn't much of an issue in my area, the neighboring state for me is only a matter of feet away.

I still hate excess tax on everything and don't trust it'll be spent as initially promised when applied to previously illegal products, but...
I wanna take advantage of your drive-up munchies window and might even invest in your franchise. Gotta business name in mind?
Or, a management position at the pot plant might be okay. I sometimes think working for someone else is more than it's cracked up to be.
Sold!
