What part of I don't care what you say don't you understand? I hit a raw nerve with you for sure. ha.
What the fuck has this got to do with the workers club? What on earth are you talking about?
I don't care about judgements passed by anyone. Strange looks. Or even the natives in the back seat complaining "mummy, everyone is looking at us".

Car guys refer to her jalopy as a TSB.
Total Shit Box.
j/k Aussie.
yep sure you are MWS.
Here's the deal, I have had the freedom to work when I want and dictate how my life rolls. I am progressing academically every year and the freedom means I am not a slave financially to anyone or anything.

Oh come on, dopey, catch up. Your car in the picture is a Mitsubishi Magna. Manufactured in Japan, Australia's biggest customer of iron ore and coal. It's not manufactured in Australia. Then you buy a Volvo. Another imported car. Yet you're always on here banging on about workers in Australia and how you support them. How you're a member of a 'workers' club. Yet your choices are costing Australian workers jobs.
I doubt you could hit a raw nerve with me if you were close enough to kick me in the balls.

This is probably a dumb question, but are there any car companies in Australia?

There won't be after about 2017-2019. Too many people who claimed to be all about buying Australian and supporting Australian workers sold out and bought mitsubishis, volvos, hyundais or kias.
Holden, Ford and Toyota manufactured locally, along with some selected Mitsubishi models in Adelaide, but they went belly up years ago.

I am so glad I put this in the boring shit thread, because you are full of it.
Listen I am also opposed to baby seals getting slaughtered, does that mean I have to stop wearing leather shoes and handbags and turn vegan and follow Stella McCartney around? Oh fuck off. You idiot, your argument isn't weak because it makes no fucking sense.
My cars are second hand, when I am cashed up like you and in a position to do what you do oh shit yeh I will go for it. For the moment, my main goal is getting back and forth from work, uni and paying as little tax in the process. If you have a problem with that then tell someone who cares.
I am just not prepared to prostitute myself the way you do for a living.

Yeah yeah, I'll deflect from my hypocrisy by throwing out some more outlandish examples and then resort to more outlandish personal attacks just to help my credibility as an academic blah blah blah..
Just to show how much you understand what I do, please elaborate on how I prostitute myself? Probably not the best choice of words either from someone who claims to be so anti-misogynist and academic and stuff..

now now calm down, I didn't go the whole hog and call you the Kim Kardashian of the Mining Industry did I? You know, if you were in the US right now, I would swear that you are there with F2 and consuming her Peter Tosh hashhish.
Listen, my bag is, I don't give a shit where this came from, although I think it was built in South Australia. I just aint going to work to pay heaps of tax, so that's it. It's a legitimate tax lark. The new car I mean. As for my glorious old car that blares out Boney M from my old cassette player, if this car was in the US I would give it to Maggot as a gift of friendship. He would drive that baby around with pride. Would be worth more than the Lennon Rolls Royce. nyah nyah nyah.

I drive a jap car but it was built in Ohio.
Zack will get his permit next year so we were talking cars. I said maybe you can have the Accord in a few years and I'll get a new car. He said no, your car is nerdy. Nerdy? My car is not nerdy. It's loaded and has a spoiler and fog lights and a moon roof. After that comment, he's getting an old Ford Pinto.

It's like a community country club here, MS.
You pay membership dues and you can go there and eat at the restaurants, or play sports, or see exhibits, or whatever.
I don't care much for "membership" organizations of any type myself (except for Mock, of course) but I think you'd only notice not being hassled if you expected to be hassled or were used to being hassled elsewhere.
Here's the website for a workers club in Australia: http://www.goulburnworkers.com.au/on-site

Since Loosey Loo isn't much into answering questions, MS, I'll try and put it into terms that you are familiar with. A workers club/RSL Club/Sports Club/Bowling Club in Australia is a bit like a smaller American Casino crossed with a sports bar, except there are no gambling tables, only slot machines. They have a bar, or various bars, a food option or sometimes more (a la carte or a buffet). You can also bet on sports via a TAB outlet. They sometimes have shows like cover singers and some of the larger ones will have headline acts. They also have bingo and other community type things for seniors. A lot of them will also incorporate lawn bowls as well. Membership is usually very inexpensive, say under $20. Usually like $5-10, for a social non-sport playing member.

Crash, quit picking on my buddy, Aussie...it doesn't matter what kind of car she drives now or what kind of car she had. My father was a Pontiac dealer, but I converted to Japanese cars years ago (Toy RAV4). Your car doesn't define you and my car is 12 years old......so just about everyone drives a newer car than me. Furthermore, she can belong to any bloody club she wants to.......don't understand why your panties are in such a wad.....
Oh, from the age of 16 thru 23, i drove convertibles with no cost to me as they had dealer tags. i was a little spoiled...but what fun I had...
