He was a good looking guy, if a bit cheezy.

Hey, I thought Adam Ant was really hot; the hair ornaments, the puffy blouses, the make-up and all.

Hell, I still think he was really good looking. Now...well, he's not a bad looking 60 year old at all, but I wouldn't recognize him on the street.

ETA: Posting at the same time, FAHQTOO. Kip Winger has definitely aged better than a lot of the 80s rock dudes - not bad at all.

PM it to me too. It has continued to go right over my head, the third time I read it...hah

You know, no more lines, no more 'Qs'.. FAHTOO

This is what struck me after I read crash's comment a couple of times: if FAHQTOO ditched the "Q" (queue), FAHTOO would no longer be waiting in line.

Now, I'm wondering if I got it right. Not sure. Haha.

ETA: Never mind - crash slid in on top of me. The word play was funny. If ramsey chimes in that she got it on first reading, that'll be even funnier; took me a bit.

Adam Ant doesn't look that bad HoTD. He needs to work with what he is got, and he is not doing that. He has mental health issues, true story.

Yeah, he looks okay for 60, to me too. I don't know what more he needs to work on physically, I'll have to trust you on that as the Mock celebrity fashion consultant. What say you, aussie?

I know he's bi-polar and struggled controlling his actions and fetishes for a long time. Didn't read his autobiography, but saw some excerpts a few years ago.

Anyway, it's good that he's open about it and addressing his mental health issues; might help others with similar challenges.

I don't even know what "Winger" is so I'm gonna just appreciate my lack of knowledge in this department.

You don't need heaps of money to be stylish. If you have it, it definitely helps, but you can still be stylish on a budget. The glasses he is wearing are old and dated. If he is going to wear glasses he needs something more reflective of his personality. I don't know what colour his hair is, I think it is white, I would be putting a toner or slightly darker rinse in it. The bald look doesn't work for men. It's aggressive.

I mean, he used to be all about pomp and glamour, he should be giving me advice.

Winger is a christian rock band, it is also on the t-shirt that the character "Stewart" from Beavis and Butthead wears.

Winger is a Christian rock band? Smiley_emoticons_skeptisch

Kip was trolled enough by Beavis, Butthead, and Lars Ulrich. Now, the Christians wanna plant a flag in him and claim him as their territory? Give the man a break, aussie!

Kip Winger started out playing bass with Alice Cooper's band (also not Christian rock), wrote/sang about banging 17 year old chicks when he was like 30, did the whole heavy metal party scene, posed in thongs...

Seriously, I read up a little on Winger when I was searching out the thong photo. Kinda cool that after the hair bands got buried by grunge and Winger became a punch line, Kip Winger moved to Santa Fe and studied music and classical composition for over 15 years. He was nominated for an excellence in music award for his symphonic composition for the San Francisco Ballet's "Ghost" production a couple of years ago. Thumbs up; way better than trying to stay relevant by making the rounds on the MTV or VH1 celebrity reality shows or via TMZ mugshots.

This ends the "Winger - Then and Now" portion of our programming. There will be no Stryper (80s Christian rock band) 101 posts from these fingers - promise.

haha I just always assumed that Winger was a christian rock band and that's why 'Stewart' from Beavis and Butthead wore the t-shirt and they gave him a hard time. I thought I heard it somewhere, I must have gotten it mixed up with Stryper (who I actually saw in concert in the 80s). I still have the concert stub as proof!
