My wife saw an opossum run under our breezway a few days ago, it was dark and she thought it was a rat and called me from the car to scare it away. I saw the tracks after the last snowstorm and thought it was a skunk. but its a possum for sure. You can almost catch them by hand but you better wear gloves.

Must be Muskrat love.

People eat muskrat here. Not kidding. There was even a restaurant whose claim to fame is muskrat. People would come from all over for it. *barf*

I didn't know exactly what a muskrat really is; had to look it up.

It's not actually a type of rat (I thought it was); it's a marsh-dweller that eats plants and is supposedly gamey and sometimes fishy tasting.

Even though eating a muskrat sounds better than wolfing down a sewer-dweller like Ben or Ratzilla, I'd pass unless I had no better options.

I feel the same way about eating beaver -- the muskrat's bushy cousin.

(Passing on elective consumption of squirrel, possum, chipmunk, gofers and skunk too -- basically, anything in the rodent or critter categories.)

I have no issue. Don't even need to be hungry.

Well then, if you hunt and trap one, you'd better be worth a dam or you might just get pelted.

Random fact #316: Iceland is more green and Greenland is more ice.

Read a lot of good things about Iceland.

The land of fire and ice would be a paradise vacation for avid photographers, I think.

The capital city holds most of the country's population and is modern, but still looks old-school charming, too. (Reminds me of the opening to "Weeds".)

A road trip down Route 1 would be a dream in mild weather.

I don't know anything about the rats in Iceland, but it's so pretty I'd risk coming face to face with a Ratzilla to check it out. Yeah, daydreaming again...

My mom's been there a couple of times.

Rough weather, but liked the hot springs.

Its so small and isolated, you'd have to stop there for a day or two on your way to continental Europe.

Armadillo is tasty, try it if you get the chance. Never had opossum, but i've heard it's a lot like nutria rat which I have had and didn't care for. I enjoy beaver, but it has to be prepared correctly.
