One of the geniuses occupying the wildlife center has been arrested.

He drove a U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service van to Safeway. The van was one of the vehicles reported stolen when the Bundy militia took over the property.



^ Kenneth Medenbach, 62, was arrested in the parking lot. He has previous felony convictions for occupying federal lands with explosives and other weapons.

Also yesterday, the occupiers had hoped to meet with law enforcement to discuss what they were demanding in order to leave the property. Law enforcement denied their meeting request.

Meanwhile, the community members are voicing growing frustration with having their daily lives and routines infringed by the militia occupiers.

It's been confirmed that the criminal occupiers do indeed consider the tax-payer funded vehicles their property now.

Medenbach placed "Harney County Resource Center" stickers over the signs on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife vehicles before he (and apparently another driver) took the federal passenger van and pick up truck to Safeway. The criminal occupiers have renamed the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge (pictured below) the Harney County Resource Center.



The driver of the truck was apparently inside the Safeway when Meddy was arrested with the van and, as far as I can tell, LE confiscated the truck but did not attempt to apprehend the other driver so as to avoid an armed conflict in a public space.

According to the thieving militia's spokesperson, LaVoy Finicum, Medenbach was a valued member of the team who will be missed. Finky says that Meddy made a dumb decision to take the van out before the militia could have it legally registered to the Harney County Resource Center. Like that's ever gonna happen. So........ Meddy's in the pokey and, given that he's a convicted felon who violated his probation and broke more laws, there's a good chance he'll be there for a right long spell.

Meanwhile, the other 'patriots' are removing surveillance cameras from outside the refuge center and daring the FBI to come and git 'em. And, they're paving roads on the protected lands, raising further the ire of the Paiute Tribe who fear their ancient artifacts and burial grounds are being destroyed. The local tribe is pushing for LE to take action and remove the militia from the grounds.

The criminal occupiers are also ruffling the feathers of the local bird watchers who would normally be perched on Wildlife Center grounds doing what they love to do. The bird watching community is leading protests against the militia for depriving them of the hobby they pay taxes to enjoy. Etc..

The militant occupiers look increasingly like nothing more than moronic mooching thieves, in my book.
